Introduction
Walter+Bai offers fully automated Charpy impact testing systems for instrumented and non-instrumented testing of metallic standard and sub-size specimens, with or without integrated temperature conditioning.
Our systems combine high-performance pendulum impact testers with intelligent robotic automation to provide reliable, highly reproducible impact testing according to international standards including ISO 148, ASTM E23, ISO 14556 and ASTM E2298. Depending on the application, impact energies from a few Joules up to 900 Joules are available.

- Cryogenic testing down to 20 K (−250 °C) using specialized cryogenic solutions
- High-temperature testing up to +900 °C or higher using customized furnace systems
Automatic specimen transfer ensures compliance with international standards requiring impact testing within only a few seconds after removing the specimen from the conditioning chamber.
