The Walter+Bai Automated Rebar Testing System is designed for fully automated tensile testing of reinforcing steel bars in accordance with international standards as ISO 15630-1, ISO 6892-1, ASTM A370 and others. The system significantly increases laboratory productivity by automating specimen handling, identification, positioning, gripping, testing and sorting while ensuring maximum repeatability, operator safety and reliable test results.

Different bar diameters can be processed automatically without manual intervention one the specimens are loaded. Intelligent handling systems transport the specimens from the storage magazine to the testing machine, where they are automatically aligned, gripped and tested. After completion of the test, the fractured specimen is removed and sorted, allowing continuous unattended operation.

The system is based on Walter+Bai's high-precision electromechanical or servo-hydraulic testing machines and is fully integrated with the DION7 testing software. Automatic specimen identification by barcode or QR code, seamless data acquisition and direct transfer of test results to laboratory information systems ensure complete traceability and efficient laboratory management.

The modular design allows the system to be configured according to customer requirements, including different specimen magazines, handling systems, automatic diameter or lenght measurement, weight measurement, extensometers, marking systems and customized reporting solutions.
