Automated Sheet and Plate Testing System with Robot
The robot automatically transfers specimens from storage magazines or pallets to the testing machine, performs optional specimen identification and cross-section measurement, accurately positions the specimen, inserts it into the grips and removes the fractured specimen after testing. This fully automated workflow significantly increases laboratory productivity while minimizing operator intervention and ensuring maximum repeatability.
Compared with portal loader systems, robot-based automation offers exceptional flexibility. Different specimen types, varying dimensions and even multiple testing stations can be integrated into one automated cell. The modular concept also allows future expansion with additional processes such as marking, measuring, sorting, hardness testing or transfer to other laboratory equipment.
The system is fully integrated with Walter+Bai's DION7 software platform and can communicate directly with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring complete traceability of every specimen and seamless data management throughout the entire testing process.
