Automated Sheet and Plate Testing System with Portal Loader

High-performance automated tensile testing system for metallic sheet and plate specimens. The portal loader ensures fast, reliable specimen handling and maximum laboratory productivity for high-volume testing according to ISO 6892-1, ASTM E8 and other international standards.
The Walter+Bai Automated Sheet and Plate Testing System with Portal Loader is designed for the fully automated tensile testing of metallic sheet and plate specimens. The system combines high-speed specimen handling with precision testing, providing maximum productivity, excellent repeatability and reliable test results for quality control laboratories, production facilities and research institutes.

The portal loader automatically transfers specimens from the storage magazine to the testing machine, performs specimen identification, optional cross-section measurement, accurate positioning and automatic gripping. After completion of the tensile test, the fractured specimen is automatically removed and transferred to a collection container before the next specimen is processed.

Designed for continuous high-throughput operation, the modular system can be configured for a wide range of specimen geometries, specimen sizes and testing capacities. Combined with Walter+Bai's high-precision testing machines and DION7 software, the system delivers maximum efficiency while minimizing operator intervention.
