to determine the torsion resistance of metallic wires until sample failure in accordance with ISO 7800 and ASTM A938 with a deadweight system for applying a constant axial load on the wire specimen to keep the wire from overlaying on itself or moving out of axis.
This floor-standing torsion testing machine is equipped with accurate electronic torque and angle sensor connected to the digital readout and offer loading and weighing capabilities in both directions (cw and ccw) of rotation. The movable part of the machine is guided with heavy duty steel rails that allows the quick positioning of it depending on the specimen's length.The grips provide slip-free and quick clamping of the specimens. This electromechanical system incorporates a gear reduction system that is coupled to the adjustable speed drive motor that provides test speeds up to 31 rpm in both directions.
